The Akodo family are the traditional leaders of the Lion Clan.
The Akodo are a family of leaders, tacticians, and perfectionists, who see their achievements as coming from the collective strength of their subordinates and not their own will. Their actions are the results of time honed traditions, exacting and thoroughly tested by centuries of application. Anything less than their perfect implementation is viewed as a shame on their ancestors, their teachers, and their family.
The Akodo, as might be expected of such strong traditionalists, view piety and honor as immensely important virtues and hold the tenets of Bushidō in high regard. Indeed, it was the Kami Akodo himself who codified Bushidō in the first place.
