The Conflict Phase is the third phase in a turn.

During this phase players take turns attacking each other's provinces to try and break them and claim rings. Each player can declare one military and one political conflict, and each ring can be claimed by one player each turn. When a defender wins a conflict, they claim the ring for it without gaining its benefit. When an attacker wins, they claim the ring for it and gain its benefit.

Passing on a conflict means losing one of the two conflicts a player can initiate during this phase.

Once all conflicts have been held, players check to see who has won the Imperial Favor. Players count the number of rings they have claimed and add it to the total Glory of all their ready characters. Whoever has the higher total wins the favor.[1]
